Krauser looked at her, her eyes was still filled with tears. He felt really bad about what he did, what he said and what he’s about to do. But, he thinks, if he did give her a chance he wouldn’t lose anything and it would even make his first friend in the camp happy. He really had nothing to lose.

“Megumi.” He starts, he places both of his hands gentley on her shoulders, shocking her a bit. He looks in her eyes, they were quite red from all the crying she did, the longer he looked at her brown eyes the more guilt he felt. He takes a deep breath.

“Megumi, I…l…let’s go out!”

Did she hear him right? Did he just say that he wanted to go out with her? Does he know what that even means? B-but why would he even say it?! Does he really want to go out with her?!?!

Such thoughts were racing to her head, she didn’t know how to respond to his sudden statement but one thing was for certain, she felt relieved. She felt really happy. She wipes the tears forming from her eyes and forces(?) a smile.

“…I…I…y…yes?!” Megumi managed to say, she as still in disbelief. She couldn’t quite believe that she was actually going to be together with him.

“A…Do…Do you know what that means? … D-do you really want to…to go out with me?”

Atobe stands up and pats the dirt off his clothes, he closely listens to whatever those two were talking about. Admittedly, he felt quite angry that the stupid foreigner showed up at that moment. He shouldn’t have gone to their little spot, they were fi—

“Megumi, I…l…let’s go out!”

‘What?!’ His chest started to ache, not because of the rather strong poundings Megumi ~~had given has been giving~~ did but because of something else. Something else entirely; something he didn’t want to admit to himself.

He knew what Megumi’s answer to that. He didn’t bother watching the rest of the scene it would only ~~pain him more~~ sicken him, he wasn’t such a fan of sappy dramas unlike Yuushi.

The further he walked away the stronger the pain grew, he even felt like tearing up but of course he stopped his tears! He’s Atobe Keigo ~~for fuck’s sake~~ after all! And Atobe Keigo does not cry over the lost of his toys, he takes them back.

“Of course! We’ll be doing a lot of things together and I’ll always make you happy, that’s what it means right?”

“…and it means I can do this.” Krauser says as he hugs Megumi. She smelled really nice and he couldn’t help but notice how small her figure was despite looking really strong on and off courts.

“Smile okay?”

Nakamura’s words had struck Krauser. She was right, it took Megumi great effort to be able to tell him her feelings and now he was just going to give up on her. He quickly gets up and looks at Nakamura. He utters a thanks and goes towards the direction in which Megumi ran he hopes that he’d be able to see her.

Upon reaching a certain area he sees both “boyfriend” and Megumi without thinking he calls out Megumi and just then he realized he had ruined something between the two of them.

Upon hearing a familiar voice she quickly pushed herself away from Atobe. She wiped her tears with her hands and stood up.

“K-krau…W-what are you doing here?”

He suddenly he feels a really sharp pain on his shins, he couldn’t help but to raise them and fall on his butt.

“Ouch!” He says in his native tongue, he then looks at the source of all the pain, Nakamura.

…She must have been angry that he just dropped her like that, he shouldn’t have done that now there’s two girls who are angry at him. He looks at her apologetically.

“I’m sorry Nakamura-san I didn’t mean to drop you…” He says as he rubs his shin, those kicks really hurt him.

“Idiot,” she seethes, fighting back the urge to kick him again. “Do that again and I’ll really kick your ass.” Literally. She brushes her clothes off, taking a few calming breaths as she assesses the damage. She turns her attention to the fallen German and sighs, exasperated. Hopeless. Absolutely hopeless. But there was still time…

“What’re you lyin’ around for?! GO AFTER HER!”

“I’d rather not. I don’t think she even wants to see me…” Krauser says, avoiding her gaze.

“There’s nothing I could do to cheer her up. I think I made it worse.”

“It’s your funeral,” she snorts. “After I… she went through all this trouble to confess to you, you’re just gonna leave it like that? Pathetic.”

Megumi looks up from her crouched position she was half hoping it would be Krauser but it was no other than that prick Atobe Keigo. As much as she didn’t like this guy for causing all her problem she had already looked at him and she’s obliged to acknowlegde his efforts from the last time this happened.

“What? Go away.” She manages to choke out in between tears, she burries her head again on her arms and rubbed her eyes with her wrists.

“I’m…sorry. This was all my fault.” She hears Atobe say, she even felt a soft stroking motion on her head she quickly swats his hand away with an arm and looks at him with the angriest glare she could manage to do at her current situation.

“D-D-Don’t touch me! T-th-this is all your fault!! Wh-w-w-what good will those stu…stupid words do!!” She says as she pounds at his chest, she knew this wouldn’t do anything to him (like last time) but she couldn’t do anything else she felt really weak right now.

She felt an arm (or two?) draw her in closer to his chest. Giving up, she just clutches on his shirt and cries.

“I hate you Atobe! I-I hate you!” She shouts. He just continued to hug(?) her as she spouted more insults at him but, as she does she slowly moves her arms and hugs him back—as much as she hated to admit it this feeling was a ~~again~~ comforting.

How could have he—he must have hurt her a lot saying all those things about being just friends. Before he could even react she just runs away from him.

“M-Megu—” He notices the other boy looking at him with such hateful eyes, this guy, as Nakamura said, in love with her. Maybe he should just let them be together…after all the things he said to hurt Megumi he doubts she would ever forgive him!

Sawa stares at him, a mixture of rage and disbelief when she lands. Thankfully she wasn’t caught completely unaware so she was able to break the fall. The impact didn’t hurt much, she hardly felt a thing. But oh, the humiliation…

“JERK!!!” she snarls, kicking him in the shins. Repeatedly.

Megumi pulls her wrist out of his grasp and faces him. It hurt her, after all of that he still didn’t understand that she liked him?! Was he really that against the idea of her liking him? Does he really hate her that much?!

She takes a deep breath, she felt like crying but she won’t. She won’t cry.

“Yes. Yes it’s true. I really like you that way Krauser-kun! N-now if you’ll excuse me I…I have things to do!!” She says as she ran as fast as she could out of this scene, she didn’t want to see any one of them right now.

Atobe gives the taller boy another glare before running after Toudou. He didn’t quite know what else to do but to do as he was doing right now. He just hopes she doesn’t do anything harsh.
